The United States Golf Association has announced who’s playing with whom, and when, for the first two rounds of the U.S. Women’s Open, July 9-10 at Lancaster Country Club.
Half the field will begin play on the first tee Thursday and 10th tee Friday, and vice versa. Also, half the field will play in the morning “wave” Thursday and afternoon wave Friday, and vice versa.
After the first two rounds and the 36-hole cut, pairings and tee times will be based on score.
Before the cut, pairings are based on TV exposure of big-time players. The tournament will be broadcast from 2-7 p.m. Thursday and Friday on Fox Sports 1, and 2:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on Fox.

In something of a U.S.G.A. tradition, defending champion Michelle Wie is with Mo Martin, last year’s British Open winner, and 2014 U.S. Women’s amateur champ Kristen Gillman on the first tee at 7:51 a.m. Thursday and 1:36 p.m. (right in the TV window) off the 10th tee Friday.
Playing directly behind that threesome, at 8:02 a.m./1:47 p.m., Are Lydia Ko (No. 2 in the world rankings ), Stacy Lewis (No. 3) and So Yeon Ryu (No. 8), who won on tour last week.
In a similar time-frame, but playing the back nine first Thursday, are 7:51 a.m./1:36 p.m. – Mirim Lee-Amy Yang–Morgan Pressel; and Karrie Webb–Suzann Pettersen–Shanshan Feng.
